Business & Marketing Communications
We specialize in clear, effective, readable English for business. We’ll
listen to your needs and vision, use your company’s preferred voice
and style, and give you a professional product. We’ll make you,
and your company, look as good as you are.
Our goal is to tell the story you want to tell and make it your product,
not ours. People will understand your message without having to read it
twice. No wordiness, ambiguity or intellectual exercises. We’ll
get your message across to your audience, whether clients, customers,
partners, board members, vendors or employees.
Whether you’re a small business owner who doesn’t have time
to create marketing materials, or part of a large company with an overworked
marketing department, we offer you an impressive, yet inexpensive way
to turn your important business communications into company profit.
Our Commitment
- We’re reliable and easy to work with. No project is
too small.
- We welcome your comments on drafts and expect to be edited.
It’s your company and you’re the boss.
- We’ll interview all personnel involved in the project
and listen carefully.
- We are well-organized, resourceful, versatile writers committed
to clarity, excellence and customer service.
We always meet deadlines.
That’s a promise!

Qualifications
We’ve written countless newsletters, brochures, press releases,
proposals and other corporate communications and marketing materials for
non-profit and for-profit organizations. We’ve ghostwritten hundreds
of trade magazine articles for professionals in every conceivable industry
from automotive to diagnostic imaging and manufacturing to law.
Gloria Lintermans is a business and marketing writer,
ghostwriter, author of three books and former syndicated columnist whose
columns have appeared in newspapers across the U.S. and worldwide from
Saudi Arabia to South America. She has appeared on national and local
radio and television talk shows across the country, has hosted her own
cable TV and radio shows and is a popular lecturer and commentator.
Alice Shepherd is a business and marketing writer, ghostwriter
and linguistic consultant. She has ghostwritten approximately 200 feature
articles and case studies on behalf of professionals in a wide range of
industries and disciplines. All have been published in national, regional
and local trade magazines and business journals. She also has many years
experience writing press releases, brochures, newsletters, web pages,
proposals, company histories, employee manuals and other collateral and
promotional materials. As a linguist (Ph.D., University of California,
Berkeley), she is the author of four books and 15 scientific journal articles
on topics of language analysis. She also creates new names for products,
services and businesses as a subcontractor to naming and branding companies.
Prior to becoming self-employed as a writer and linguistic consultant,
she worked at the University of California and private colleges for over
10 years, in teaching and administrative positions including Registrar,
Dean and Vice President. There is much more to writing than producing
grammatically correct sentences with commas in the right places. It takes
the sensitivity of a linguist to create distinctive, unambiguous, powerful
communications.
